Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading Program 2024
We hope you will join us at the Catoosa Public Library for the 2024 Summer Reading Program: Adventure Begins at Your Library.
There will be activities each week for every age group from 0-18, including preschool storytimes, events for children, and activities for teens. There will also be prizes* for reading during the month of June!
All children who currently hold a Catoosa Public Library card may participate in the program. To obtain a library card, parents or guardians will need to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail verifying their address in Rogers County or zip codes 74108 or 74116 on their first visit.
Registration begins May 28th at the library (105 East Oak, Catoosa).

Schedule of Events

Week 1: June 3 - 8
Children and families can attend Choose You Own Adventurer, an interactive storytelling performance by Finer Arts Oklahoma on Tuesday at 10:00am. Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and there will be Teen Trivia for ages 13-18 Thursday at 5:00pm.
Week 2: June 10-15
Children and families are invited to join us for an educational program by Regalia International Birds of Prey — see and learn about owls, hawks, and other raptors. This program takes place on Tuesday at 10:00am. Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and there will be a Teen Anime Club cosplay event for ages 13-18 Thursday at 5:00pm.
Week 3: June 17-22 (closed June 19 for Juneteenth)
Stop by the library anytime this week to participate in a fun scavenger hunt. Teens ages 13-18 can join us on Thursday at 5:00pm to create some cool tie-dyed accessories (be sure to wear old clothes).
Week 4: June 24-29
Let’s wrap up this year’s Summer Reading Program with a fun performance by Professor B. Looney. Children and families are invited to this event on Tuesday at 10:00am. Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and Teens will celebrate their reading success with a Grand Finale Pizza Party on Thursday at 5:00pm.
