Summer Reading Program 2026: Unearth A Story!

We hope you will join us at the Catoosa Public Library for the 2026 Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story.

There will be activities each week for every age group from 0-18, including Preschool Storytime, events for children, and activities for teens. There will also be prizes* for reading during the month of June!

All children who currently hold a Catoosa Public Library card may participate in the program. To obtain a library card, parents or guardians will need to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail verifying their address in Rogers County or zip codes 74108 or 74116 on their first visit.
 
Registration begins June 1st at the Catoosa Public Library (105 East Oak, Catoosa).

Schedule of Events

Week 1: June 1-6
Children and families can drop in all week to sign up and grab a Dino-craft! Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and there will be Teen Trivia: “True of Fossil” for ages 13-18 Thursday at 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

Week 2: June 8-13
Come by the library on Tuesday and make your very own fossil. From 10:00am to 12:00pm the D.W. Correll Museum will be at the library for DIY fossil casting! Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am and there will be a Teen Movie Night Hangout for ages 13-18 Thursday at 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

Week 3: June 15-20 (closed June 19-20 for Juneteenth)
Starting at the Library, join the Dino Egg Hunt anytime from June 15th to the 22nd, to earn a prize (while supplies last). A Father’s Day Storytime for preschoolers will be Wednesday at 10:00am . Teens, ages 13-18, can join us on Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, for DIY Triassic Terrariums!

Week 4: June 22-27
Swing by the library on Tuesday, anytime from 10:00am to 6:00pm, to make Amber Specimen Slime! Our final Preschool Storytime of June will be Wednesday at 10:00am. On Thursday, Teens will celebrate their reading success with a Grand Finale Pizza & Game Night, 5:00pm to 6:30pm!

Week 5: June 30th

We are wrapping up this year’s Summer Reading Program, with a final roar and screech, with Birds of Prey on Tuesday, at 10:00am!
