The presidential election on November 3, 2020 is fast approaching. Here you will find all the information you need to get registered, find your polling place, see a sample ballot, request and submit an absentee ballot, find information on candidates and issues on the ballot, and get information about early voting.
HOW DO I REGISTER TO VOTE
Voters must register by October 9 in order to be eligible to vote in the November 3rd election. You can find more information about registering to vote at https://www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Info/Register_to_Vote/index.html. If you register online, remember that you will still need to print and mail in your completed application. We also have paper applications available at the library.
I CAN'T REMEMBER IF I'M REGISTERED OR I NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE
If you want to check to see if you are still registered, find out where your polling place is located, view or change your political affiliation, or change your address (as long as you have stayed within the same county), you can do that by visiting the OK Voter Portal. You will only need your name and birth date to sign. If you have moved outside the county you were previously registered in, changed your name, or want to make any other changes, see the instructions at https://www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Info/Register_to_Vote/index.html.
I NEED TO FIND MY POLLING PLACE
To find your polling place log in to the OK Voter Portal. You will only need your name and birth date to log in. If you need help accessing the voter portal, we are happy to help at the library. Polling places will be open for in-person voting 7am-7pm on election day, November 3rd.
WHEN AND WHERE CAN I VOTE EARLY?
Early voting takes place during the following days and times:
October 29 – 8am-6pm
October 30 – 8am-6pm
October 31 – 9am-2pm

HOW DO I REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT
Anyone can request an absentee ballot for any reason. You may request an absentee ballot online at https://www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Info/Absentee_Voting/.
If you prefer, absentee ballots can also be requested using a print and mail-in form found at the above website. The library also has copies of the request form available at no cost. The form should be submitted to your county election board. The last day to request an absentee ballot is October 27.

In order to prevent voter fraud, the state of Oklahoma requires that you provide proof of your identity when mailing in your ballot. Under normal circumstances, a notarization by a public notary is required for most voters. This year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the state is giving voters the option to mail in a copy of either their voter registration card or a valid photo ID with their ballot instead of requiring a notarization.

The League of Women Voters of Oklahoma provides a nonpartisan Voter Guide with information about the candidates and issues you will find on your ballot.
LIBRARY SERVICES FOR VOTERS
Besides providing registration forms and forms to request an absentee ballot, the library is providing either notarization of your ballot or copies of your license or voter card at no cost.
Public notaries will be available at the library during the following hours:
Monday 1:00pm-5:00pm
Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm
Friday 9:00am-3:00pm
The person whose signature we are notarizing must be present and we must see a valid picture ID before notarizing.
